I agree. Seeing more information on your guildmates is a great idea. You can see what you are lacking in your guild to see what you should recruit for. You can see who you should team up with if you have a large guild. There are so many reasons for this.
Fantastic idea.

I like the idea but since it only show's the PC the person signed up with (or what he's currently playing, how are you supposed to tell what his alt's are without asking him?
I know someone not in my guild that makes new characters all the time and types like him would be hard to remember... I can't even remember how a few people on my friend's list got there sometimes.

when you put someone on your friends list it will only tell you when they are on that character. with the guild roster it tells you what character they are on at the time. not just the character they signed up with.

i think it should be on the friends list too.it would be easier to make pvp,fow/UW,and adventuring groups with ppl who are in a dif guild.

Best: the members are sorted by classes in the guild roster (maybe also with headlines).
What do you think?

Might I suggest that Anet add an option for this in the bust(little head) next to the names called: "Member/Player Info" which will bring up a new window that displays the names, levels and classes of each of that members/players characters? Can be used for all players (guildmates, friends)
This would be useful & helpful along with & among a lot of the other requested Guild Window upgrades that could be done.

I just started playing and this posting are my thoughts exactly. Knowing fellow guild members class and levels would make the gaming easier and more enjoyable. Less time wasted asking who needs what and where. My concern is the date of this posting and the fact that it is now 2007. If they haven't changed it by now, will they ever?
Wondering,
Joyce

I agree. It would be awesome to be able to see what profs. people have. If you ever needed a good monk for a mission or something, you could just look at the guild roster.

One other thing to add would be what version they where in too. I keep getting pleas for help only to find out they are in Factions or Nightfall, neither of which I have. I really hope this gets somewhere.

also knowing where they are tyria, cantha or elona might be nice so you know about how long it will take for them to map to you.

Guild Wars should learn from WoW's Guild Roster, which is near-perfect.

...And we sould be able to set away status in the guild window. In fact, the guild window should be a very-effective spreadsheet-type display with all sorts of information in it and players should be able to "subscribe" to other players so that a message is displayed in private chat when they are on and there should be a blanket subscribe option, too. Just my opinion.
Best regards,
Chris. Dratz

...for reasons above. Both ANet's Guild Roster and Friendslists can be improved greatly to display a lot more information. It's little things like this that make the game seem more professional.

/signed,
Sounds too good and easy, also to add a bit, when you are in an alliance, press G and click on the alliances cape to show who is on in that guild alliance as well, doeant affect me now as i left, but when i was my last guild with 2 other alliances we never knew who was on or not, especially when they where gettn booted or where just AFK and constant chatter just to look for someone was annoying,
